  • 1kg chicken thighs
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 6 tbsp Sriracha
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

How to cook our Grilled Honey Sriracha Chicken Thigh recipe, method:

  1. Bring the heat - Begin by preheating your grill to 200°C (medium to high heat) for the chicken. Meanwhile, take a small saucepan and heat it over low to medium heat.
  2. Create the irresistible glaze - In the small saucepan, melt the butter. Add in the fresh ginger and garlic, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, incorporate the ground cloves, honey, Sriracha, smoked paprika, and lime juice. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 4 to 5 minutes before setting it aside for later.
  3. The main event - Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them with salt and pepper. Place the chicken thighs on the grill for 4 to 5 minutes on each side. If you're using skin-on chicken thighs, start with the skin side down. Flip the chicken thighs every 4 to 5 minutes to prevent burning until they are cooked through (approximately 20 - 25 minutes).
  4. Infuse the flavour - During the last flip on each side, generously brush the delicious glaze prepared earlier onto both sides of the chicken.
  5. Serve and savour - Once your chicken is coated with the mouthwatering glaze, juicy, and fully cooked, it's time to serve it alongside medium grain rice or your family's favourite side salad.
